Ohuhu markers are all over social media—but do they deliver? Here’s my experience testing them.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved colouring. Beyond boosting my creativity, it has helped me relax during stressful times. But over the past few years, I had set aside my passion for colouring—until one day, my social media feeds started showing people my age (and even older) happily taking out their markers and colouring books again.

The set also comes with a plastic sheet, since the ink can easily bleed through onto the pages underneath. Regular sheets of paper work too.
And of course, you’ll need adult colouring books to really bring back that childhood feeling!
Testing the Ohuhu Dual Tips Markers
When I used my Ohuhu Double-Ended Alcohol Brush Markers for the first time, I quickly realized I didn’t need to press down hard on the paper. That’s a bad habit I’ve had for years—and I’m sure I’m not the only one.
Without much effort, the ink flowed smoothly onto the page. The only challenge is to stay within the lines of your drawing.
To get the best results and make your colouring look like an actual piece of art, I learned it’s important to take your time. Colouring too quickly can leave strokes, but going too slowly isn’t ideal either, since the ink dries fast.

I’ve tried adding patterns (dots and lines), but I haven’t mastered blending or gradients yet—even after watching plenty of TikTok tutorials.

- The ink can sometimes spread farther than expected, so you have to be careful not to go over the lines
- To avoid streaks, you can’t take too long filling in an area
- You absolutely need to place paper or the included plastic sheet under your colouring page to prevent ink from bleeding onto another drawing
- The marker case can be heavy to carry
- No colouring book is included in the set
Do the Ohuhu Double-Ended Alcohol Brush Markers really live up to the hype?
Overall, I think Ohuhu Double-Ended Alcohol Brush Markers are great for adults who enjoy colouring, but also for older teens who can take good care of them.
