My Our Place Wonder Oven Does It All — And Looks Great Doing It

I love cooking. I own more than a few recipe books, I regularly dive into Pinterest for meal inspiration, and with baking season upon us, you’ll find me in the kitchen more often than usual. And while I do enjoy a complex pasta dish or an ambitious bread bake, sometimes I simply don’t have the time (or patience) to wait for the oven to preheat to 425 degrees and tackle a mountain of prep work. Sometimes, I just want easy — and that’s when I turn to my countertop appliances, especially my air fryer.

Now, to quote The Little Mermaid, I’ve got gadgets and gizmos aplenty, and I’ve tried my fair share of air fryers and multifunctional toaster ovens over the years — but the one that’s truly come out on top is the Our Place Wonder Oven. It features six functions, comes with multiple trays, and looks stylish enough to double as kitchen decor.

Let’s get into the details.

Our Place Wonder Oven Review (Alice Prendergast)

I’ve been using the Our Place Wonder Oven for over a year now, and I still love it just as much as the day it arrived. It’s sleek, compact, and does everything you’d want a multifunctional countertop oven to do — air fry, bake, roast, toast, broil, and reheat.

With six cooking functions and a wide heat range, it’s easy to roast salmon to crisp up vegetables, and even reheat pizza. Adding a capful of water to the top compartment activates the steam-infused technology, which helps produce juicier, more tender results and can even revive stale bread. It preheats 75% faster than a traditional oven and cooks food up to 30% faster, which makes the whole process far more efficient.

It’s made dinner prep for me and my partner significantly quicker — something I particularly appreciate on nights when I’d rather not cook at all. It’s also helped me rely on my microwave far less. The glass door is another bonus, letting me check on my food without letting heat escape.

I also love that it comes with a wire rack, baking pan, and air fryer basket. There’s no need to buy extra accessories or try to wedge in trays that don’t fit. Plus, all interior surfaces and accessories are made without PFAS, so it’s a safer choice, too.

The drawbacks of the Our Place Wonder Oven

No kitchen appliance is perfect, and there are a few small flaws worth noting. These weren’t dealbreakers for me, but it’s always good to know what you’re up against, however minor.

Firstly, it’s not the largest countertop oven out there. Although it claims to be big enough to roast a 2.05 kg chicken — full disclosure, I haven’t tested that theory as I’m a pescatarian — it’s not quite spacious enough to cook a full family meal. Sides of veggies or fillets of fish? Absolutely. You can easily fill and fit two of the trays, but larger, flatter dishes like freezer pizzas or casseroles are a no-go. Luckily, the brand has launched a more spacious model and a more advanced (and larger) pro model for those looking to handle larger meals.

Secondly, a few users have mentioned that the heating performance isn’t the strongest. I haven’t found this to be the case myself, but I also don’t use it for particularly delicate or precise recipes. I suspect that if I were to attempt a more complex bake, I might not be quite as impressed with the results as I would be with my full-size convection oven — but that’s to be expected.

Lastly, there’s the price. At $240, it’s definitely on the higher end compared to some alternatives on the market — it’s up to you to decide whether the investment is worth it.

My final thoughts on the Our Place Wonder Oven

All in all, if you’re looking for a quick and convenient way to cook or reheat meals for one or two people, the Our Place Wonder Oven is bound to become your new favourite kitchen companion. While some users have mentioned issues with temperature variation or uneven heating, I’ve found it to be reliable on both fronts. Plus, its sleek design makes it an appliance I actually want to keep on display — no need to rearrange my kitchen counter every time I want to roast veggies or reheat last night’s pizza.
