A couple of months ago, I set out to find a pair of comfortable sandals that were stylish enough to wear out to fancier dinners. I knew my trusty Birkenstock Arizonas, although cushy and perfectly broken in, wouldn’t really go with the nice dresses in my wardrobe, but, frankly, I did not want to turn to heels.
After seeing many of my favourite influencers wear the Crocs Miami Toe Loop Sandal, I knew I had to try a pair for myself. They’ve been part of my regular summer footwear rotation ever since.
My experience wearing the Crocs Miami Toe Loop Sandals
Let’s start with style and fit. The Crocs Miami Toe Loop Sandals come in a couple of different shades, and I opted for dark brown. When I first tried them on, the straps felt a little snug, but after about an hour of wear they stretched out, and now they feel like they’re moulded just for my feet. If you’re a half size, I recommend going up to the next full size for a comfortable fit.
They’re made of ethylene vinyl acetate (the same foam as a classic Croc clog), which makes them incredibly lightweight. That means they’re light on the foot and easy to pack — my dream combination. They’re also incredibly easy to clean with a wet wipe or damp cloth, and because they’re plastic, dirt comes right off.

The triple-strap design wraps around the big toe, across the top of the feet, and over the bridge, so even though the footbeds are mostly flat, my feet feel secure and supported throughout the day. Instead of flopping, they stay firmly on my feet, even when I’m doing a lot of walking. And when my feet start to get sweaty, the textured footbed keeps them in place.
The overall design of the shoe, including the square toe and triple straps, helps dress them up. They’re as comfortable as my trusty flip-flops, without looking like I’m heading to the beach. I’ve been wearing them all summer with short and long dresses, linen pants, and even brought them to a wedding to dance in after I kicked off my uncomfortable heels.

If the toe loop strap isn’t for you, there are many alternatives available in Crocs’ beloved Miami line, including a double-strap style and a classic thong style. Since they’re pretty popular right now — especially the toe loop version— they tend to sell out fast, but they restock frequently, so if you sign up for notifications for the size and colour you want, you should be able to grab a pair for yourself in no time.
Are the Crocs Miami Toe Loop Sandals worth it?
The Crocs Miami Toe Loop Sandals cost around $54, which does feel slightly expensive for a pair of plastic sandals. While the price made me a bit hesitant, I can now say they’re very worth it. They’re durable, lightweight, comfortable, supportive, and look so cute with so many different outfits. I’m confident that they’ll last me for many summers to come.
