This Got2B Gel Has Helped Keep My Frizzy Hair And Flyaways Under Control This Summer

In the summer, I almost always have my hair up. Like most people, I don’t enjoy sweaty strands, and it’s the best way to keep my mane under control. Whether I’m throwing it into a quick ponytail to take my dog on a walk, or doing a more complicated slick-back style for a night out, flyaways and frizz will always find a way to make an appearance, especially when it’s humid out.

I don’t like using a lot of gel on my hair, and sometimes wax sticks leave it looking greasy. Enter the Got2b Glued 2in1 Brow & Edge Gel. The tiny tube is small enough to keep in my bag for touch-ups, and it has truly become a secret weapon for taming frizz and flyaways this summer. I think everyone should know about it.

My experience using the Got2b Glued 2in1 Brow & Edge Gel

Since the Got2b Glued 2in1 Brow & Edge Gel is designed to be used on edges, baby hairs, and brows, I wanted to put its brow-sculpting and hair-holding abilities to the test. I love a dual-purpose product, and I had high hopes for this one, since Got2b styling gels have something of a cult following in the beauty community.

I have very thick, very stubborn eyebrows. In my test applications, I spread the gel, using the side of the wand with the longer bristles, and then went back over with the short bristles to sculpt and define them. While it does have a lightweight feel and helped define their shape, it wasn’t strong enough to hold them for more than an hour or so. I think it might work for you if you have finer, more flexible hairs.

I had much better luck using it in my hair, which is finer than my brows. I followed the same steps, using the long bristles first and then smoothing everything out with the shorter side of the brush. I found that it offers great hold, and I’ve grown to love using it to stick the baby hairs at the nape of my neck to the rest of my hair when it’s up in a bun or ponytail. I also like using it to secure the shorter pieces of my bangs when I’m wearing a slick-back style. My hairline is usually one of the first places that sweat tends to accumulate on me, and my flyaways and shorter pieces do stay right where I place them when I use this.

An important factor in determining whether I like a strong-hold hair product is how it washes out. I like to give my hair a quick brush-through, and I find the gel washes right out in the shower without leaving residue or any stickiness behind. The few times I’ve worn it on my brows, it washes right out with a makeup wipe, too.

One thing I will say is that when my updo becomes loose, or I touch it more than usual, the gel can look flakey by the end of the day. It’s worth noting that my hair is a very dark brown and the flaking is subtle, so I don’t think you would have this issue if your hair is a medium brown shade, or lighter.

A huge selling point for me is that the tube is small enough to fit in my bag. The gel is the same size as a standard tube of mascara. This means I can apply more throughout the day if my hair needs it (though it rarely does).

I’ve been using it all summer, and it’s come in handy whether I just want to tame flyaways for a lazy-day ponytail or when I want some extra security in my style when I’m heading out to a fancier occasion.

Is the Got2b Glued 2in1 Brow & Edge Gel worth it?

I definitely think the Got2b Glued 2in1 Brow & Edge Gel is worth a try. It slicks, tames frizz and flyaways, and lasts for hours. Though it didn’t work as well for my eyebrows, I am happy enough to use this solely as a hair product.
